This course focuses on environmental clean-up from our past while working towards future, environmentally-sound industrial growth. Key topics include the preservation and enhancement of the environment, waste management, and industrial/environmental interaction. This course presents a mostly qualitative description of the science, technology, and practice of manufacturing. This includes detailed descriptions of manufacturing processes and the manufacturing enterprise that will introduce you to important concepts.
This course combines an exploration of the time-tested concepts and techniques of safety and health management, a modern perspective on compliance with mandatory standards for workplace safety and health, and a variety of solved problems, case studies, and exercises.
